Motor Vehicle Injuries (MVA)

Depending on the severity of your injury, there are limitations to the benefits available. These limitations are regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA), and will depend on the coverage you have through your motor vehicle insurance company.

Any benefits you may have through your (or your spouse’s) employer must be exhausted before any claim amounts are covered by your motor vehicle insurance company. The claim process, and paperwork, remain the same. This is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA).

Physiotherapists are primary access providers, so a referral is not necessary. Early intervention for these injuries is critical, so don’t delay when you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident.
